Twisted Stitches Needlepoint is New Mexico’s only needlepoint shop
Twisted Stitches Needlepoint was inspired by semiannual road trips to Colorado, Texas and Arizona to purchase canvas and threads. Twisted Stitches opened in August 2018 with threads from Rainbow Gallery, Caron Collection, Gloriana, Planet Earth, River Silks, Presencia and Vineyard to name a few. We carry unique hand-painted canvases and accessories large and small.

Susan and Debbie offer their own unique needlepoint experiences and talents, whether it is basketweave, color choices, decorative stitches or design. We enjoy demonstrating stitches and providing ideas on how to individualize your needlepoint project.
What is Needlepoint?
Needlepoint designs are created with a variety of threads on a stiff open weave canvas. The canvas may either painted with a design or blank. With painted canvas you use a variety of stitch types to follow the colors painted on the canvas to stitch the design. With blank canvas, you follow a gridded chart and count threads to determine where to stitch.
